Taoist Yoga

The Taoist Yogas use the same notion of macrocosm-microcosm found in Hindu and Buddhist Tantra. They recognise the universal energy (chi, prana), the central channel, the chakras, the nadis or meridians etc. The symbolism of the conjunction of opposites is found in the famous Yin-Yang symbol and also in symbols of divine beings in ecstatic sexual embrace.
Certain martial arts are practised as a mode of meditation and as a means of regulating energy. This is parallel with the relationship between Hatha and Raja Yoga.
Taoism had a certain influence on Zen, perhaps making it less otherworldly that Indian Buddhism.
